Why did you name your brand The Doux?

My hair is relaxed/texturized/transitioning. Can I still DOUX me?
Yes, ma'am. The DOUX was formulated to be mild enough for any kind of hair that needs DOUXing. The nourishing, smoothing effects of our products are an excellent choice for chemically treated hair and hair that is in transition.
Do your products contain alcohol?​
Yes. Cetyl Alcohol is the "good witch" of the alcohol family. It's purpose is actually the opposite of what it may sound like: it's an emollient used to help the hair and skin absorb moisture.
I don't have a steamer. Can I still use C.R.E.A.M?
Yes. C.R.E.A.M. treatments can be processed using a processing cap under a hooded dryer, or by wrapping a warm towel around the processing cap. It also works wonders for instant detangling. At The HoneyComb, we like to mix a little C.R.E.A.M. with the SPECIAL SAUCE for the ultimate leave-in treatment.
Is The DOUX animal cruelty free?
Absolutely. No animal testing. Now, child testing, that's another story...ours have been all but baptized in The DOUX.
Like, I soooo don't have kinky/curly/wavy hair. I just like, totally, love those cute little bottles, and, like, I think the smell, like, totally rocks! Can I DOUX me?

Will LADIES' FIRST Purifying Shampoo strip my natural oils or dry my hair out?
LADIES' FIRST is a sulphate-free cleanser that removes product buildup and old funk from the hair and scalp. Contrary to popular belief, NOT clarifying your hair over time will cause more harm than sulphates and detergents combined. Microscopic layers of product and body soil build up on the hair and scalp, making it impossible for the hair to absorb moisture, resulting in dehydration and that "crunchy" brittle feeling. While not all clarifying shampoos were created equal, LADIES' FIRST has been formulated to gently remove the old stuff, to restore your hair's natural softness, and prepare it for adequate hydration.
What is the origin of The Rebirth of Slick?
Not sure. We're just cool like that. We were actually going to call it "Aftah-berth," but that name was already taken.​
Are your products 100% natural?
NOPE. They are, however, ridiculously cute and so damn clever that it won't matter. Listen, our products were formulated with one main ingredient: COMMON SENSE. The DOUX comes fully loaded with a plethora of naturally derived ingredients, but we've included other stuff, because we understand plant science: Natural is only better when a formula is stable enough to sustain the individual properties of each ingredient.
We've worked closely with our brilliant chemists to create products that do what they say they will do, and perform so well, you'll want to chuck that brick of Shea Butter out the window. We stand behind every preservative, 'cone, and every drop of everything else we can't pronounce. Natural hair care for us is about what really matters: quality products that deliver consistent results, obey science, and demand substance.
